--- title: About description: About --- [Skip to content](https://www.soundmindaccounting.com/about#main-content) ## About We are firm believers that our Lord has crossed our paths for a reason, and it is now our job to finish what God has started! We are a small boutique firm that will treat you like family and not just a number. Our business concept was born with a desire to open a firm with different values, that was fundamentally supported by a Christian belief system. Our name comes from 2 Timothy 1:7, “God has not given you a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and a sound mind”. Many accounting firms today are embracing a “woke” ideology, and in turn are promoting that ideology to their customers though their web site, newsletters, blogs and other methods, encouraging customers to embrace that ideology. You have heard the phrase, “go woke, go broke”,” so one has to wonder why does your accounting firm want you to go broke? We don’t want you to go broke. We want you to grow strong. Woke ideology appears as if it comes from an unstable state of mind, and so you need an accounting firm with a sound mind.
